Stock Selection

Why are you looking at names that did not show relative strength during the market correction?

AXTI went down a lot during the correction, but its rebound has more than doubled from the bottom and it is now back above all the EMAs. On the weekly chart, it pulled back into the rising 50 EMA, undercut and reclaimed support, and returned above the EMAs. It showed huge relative strength during the bounce compared with almost all other stocks, including the semis. Volume was also huge. I like the liquidity relative to its market cap: it traded more than $1.5 billion in volume on a roughly $6 billion market cap. That suggests many hedge funds or other large participants are focused on it.
