About 90% of the time I use market orders for entries. Occasionally I use a limit order, perhaps for fun or for a stock with a larger spread and less liquidity. For stop losses, I use market orders. I never use stop-limit orders because I want to ensure the sell order is filled when the stop price is reached. Sometimes using a limit order adds variety and keeps trading from feeling robotic, and over a long time it doesn't make a huge difference in performance. But on a day with many opportunities, I generally use a market order rather than manually typing a limit price.
