I found that many breakouts or opening-range-high entries stopped me out before the stock continued higher. Eventually I was right and the stock went higher; my entry was just not right. So I started to explore whether another type of entry would let me stay on the boat and not get shaken out on the breakout days. That is how I discovered buying the intraday pullback, especially the five-minute intraday range breakout. It happens very often: you buy the opening-range high, the stock rolls over intraday, stops you out by taking the low of day, and then starts climbing higher.
