Should I wait for a gap-down short, or is this gap already shortable?

From my experience, this type of gap down is shortable, but a one-day bounce has a lower win rate than a three- or four-day small base or flag before rejection from the EMA. It is still tradable, just less reliable. I normally study the one-hour chart because going back through 15-minute data is difficult. I go back to a lower timeframe only when the example is recent. If you study several hundred examples, you develop a sense of whether a gap down is shortable.
