I let my stop decide whether I sell. Either my stop gets hit or I keep holding the position. I've accepted the consequence of a market crash or another black-swan gap down stopping me out of all my positions; the drawdown could perhaps be around 25%. The probability of another huge gap down stopping out everything is also quite low. I define my stop before entering, at the level where I believe my trade is wrong and the market disagrees with my decision. If you don't trust your stops and try to outsmart them, you may occasionally benefit, but most of the time you will not.
